Object of My Affection

Object of my affection,
you take a new face today,
A smile that’s unfamiliar,
a gaze through which I sway.
Your arms have never held me,
yet in their strength I crave
To be bound. Enclose this hunger
I’m not able to evade.
Brush slowly with your kisses
away the thought of lovers past.
Lead me in this maze of new
by the timbre of your laugh.
